Introduction:
We’ve talked about “taking a walk across the room.” That “walk” involves moving beyond our “circle of comfort” into the “zone of the unknown” as we engage people who do not know Jesus. We have also considered the importance of developing friendships and discovering stories. We will move to our third “d” today. Once you’ve engaged a lost person and understood a bit about him or her, what do you do next?
I. Detailing Deciphering
How do I make clear what is not clear?
· Paul’s deciphering method;
· On moving from page to practice;
· A situational review
Question: How do you respond to these situations? Do you recall “situations” of your own? What happened? What do you wish had happened?
· Considering my qualifications;
· Deciphering essentials
Conclusion:
Evangelism is important to the Father. It must also be important to us. Walking across the room and developing friendships, discovering stories, and deciphering next steps allows us to share a message that makes every difference in this world and the one to come. The question is, will you take a walk across the room and reach out for Christ on this week? Will you?
