Introduction:
Question: What has a greater influence on our thinking regarding worship — Scripture or situation? God tells us to come before him in worship. What happens in us when we do?
I. Wonderful Words of Worship
Consider again the word, “worship.” What do we see in certain biblical passages?
• Persons are in awe of God
• They dwell before God
• They bow down and kneel before God
• They go and stand before God
• They look to God
Question: How does the biblical understanding of worship differ from the response of today’s Christians?
As we will see in our next discussion, worship is truly a matter of the H.E.A.R.T. Join us on Sunday (10/26) as we consider this idea more fully.
