Evangelism
The Lord’s Great Commission (Matt. 28:19-20) is central to who we are at the West Broad Church of Christ. Christians cannot keep the wonderful message of the Father’s love to ourselves; we must do everything we can in order to share it with others.
To this end, West Broad endeavors toward evangelism in three exciting ways. First, we provide evangelistic training for our members. How does one person engage another with the truth of Christ? How does one respond to difficult questions? Which evangelistic method is best? We address these concerns and many others. Secondly, our minister emphasizes the importance of evangelism from the pulpit. He communicates to members and guests on a regular basis the reality that reaching out to the lost is not optional; it is required and expected. Finally, West Broad members reach out to our community — both individually and as an aggregate — with Christ’s saving message and acts of service. That is, through words and deeds, individuals share the story of Christ in a personal way with people they know or meet.
Jesus was constantly about the business of sharing God’s good news (Matt. 9:35). At West Broad, we are simply trying to follow our Lord’s example!
