An August of Accelerating Action
October 9, 2008
We are ready for a service-filled, Spirit-led August in downtown Richmond! The apostle Paul once wrote, “. . . be steadfast, immovable, always excelling in the Lord’s work, knowing that your labor in the Lord is not in vain (1 Cor. 15:58, CSB).” We have several activities planned this month that will help us to mirror Paul’s admonition. Specifically, we will conduct our annual vacation Bible school, give school supplies to children in Richmond’s West End, travel to the National Great Blacks in Wax Museum of African American History in Baltimore, MD for a fun, educational outing, and conduct a “Bless the Block” neighborhood outreach to build the good will that can lead to our being able to share Christ’s Good News. In addition to these activities, we will meet each Wednesday and Sunday for our times of corporate worship and Bible study. If you are looking for a place of “steadfast, immovable, excelling servants,” we invite you to check us out at the West Broad Church of Christ!
