A Week Toward Racial Oneness

Richmond area Churches of Christ recently enjoyed a wonderful week during our 2009 Area-Wide Fellowship. This year’s theme was, “Race to the Cross.” The theme was a play on words emphasizing the urgency involved in following Jesus and the need for all races to work and live cooperatively in that pursuit. Meetings were held at area congregations Sunday, July 26, through Thursday, July 30. West Broad hosted on Tuesday, July 29, and we had a wonderful time as 144 persons gathered for an evening of song, fellowship, praise, preaching, and plenty of good food. Thanks to our friends at the Three Chopt Church of Christ for their gracious partnership in allowing us use of their church building.
