A Day of Class Reviews at West Broad
September 7, 2010
The West Broad Church of Christ presented two special opportunities of spiritual growth for “tweens” and teens (grades 6 through 12) during the month of August. The first was a Bible class entitled Boys to Men. We explored in this series of lessons the various milestones boys encounter as they grow, and pointed questions as well as instruction and hands-on experience doing day-to-day “manly” tasks were part of our time together. The second opportunity was a class for young ladies. Their course of study was entitled, W.O.W. — Words of Wisdom from Women of the Word. The objective of this riveting class series was to share with young sisters God’s plan and purpose for their lives. As they examined biblical women like Eve, Phoebe, Anna, Dorcas, and others, our young sisters discovered the tools required to develop an “I.G.P.” — Individual God Plan. Students were encouraged to exercise and execute their I.G.P.’s. In doing so, they have become even more poised and prepared to successfully live lives of faith, meaning, and service. Both classes (and our little ones) showcased their learning experiences on August 29.
