Set for More Growth and Connection in June

The West Broad Church of Christ is geared up for a powerfully exciting and eventful month of growth and connection. By God’s grace, we are in the process of installing our first deacons. June will find us nominating and evaluating men who possess the qualities outlined in Scripture (Acts 6:1-3; 1 Tim. 3:8-12). We will also engage in two acts of congregational “in-and-outreach.” On 6/8, each member will share a word of encouragement to a brother or sister struggling in his/her faith. We will also reach out to a member who is mature and vibrant in his/her faith. On 6/22, we will direct our focus outward and share the message of Christ with a friend, family member, or neighbor who does not know the Lord.
Combine these efforts with challenging and thought-provoking Bible study (come find out what “justification” means from God’s perspective), Spirit-filled worship and praise, a special retreat for our “tweens and teens,” and fun, relationship-building activities and conversations among members (and guests!), and you have a sure recipe for exhilarating growth and meaningful connection.
